I really enjoyed this place! We went last Friday after shopping and I am so glad we stopped in :) My FIL and hubby got the wings to start (the buffalo sauce and ranch were perfect) and both got the bbq its cheddar burger. I just had surgery 5 weeks ago to limited on my portions and what I can have but I stole 1/4 of my hubs burger and OMG I would have to say it was the best burger I have ever had. The flavor and juiciness stood out! I did snag a couple bites of fries and they were so good as well! I truly wish I could have physically ate more because of how tasty it was! Definitely hope other locations are just as good because I would love to enjoy one closer to home

I think this may have been the best French Dip Sandwich I've ever had. I don't really know what it was, but I think it was the addition of a cheese crisp in the sandwich. The meat was super tender, the bread was toasted, the au jus and the sauce in the sandwich was just all so good!

Don't mind me as I catch up on things I should have reviewed long ago, lol. Thirsty Lion in Chandler, AZ is a cool spot to get a few drinks, chow down on some apps or a full on meal. Super casual establishment with a bar where you can catch the latest game, or enJOY some cocktails and apps. The service was great, as we went in just prior to closing. We only had cocktails, but they were fantastic as far as presentation and taste! Prices are not bad at all, as they're pretty competitive with the market. Accessible restrooms and parking lot are available. I'd love to come in and try out their food one day. Trust me when I say I will return!

Thirsty Lion consistently delivers great food and a lively atmosphere. The menu has a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The ambiance is nice, making it a popular spot for both dining and socializing. However, the noise level is intense--it's loud no matter which location you visit. If you're looking for a quiet meal, this might not be the spot, but if you're okay with a vibrant (and very noisy) vibe, you'll enjoy the experience. Worth a visit if you're in the mood for good food and don't mind the volume!

5 stars! I had the chicken sandwich for lunch at Thirsty Lion, and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were spot-on, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The service was also fantastic--the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. This place is my go-to spot whenever I'm in Arizona for meetings. Great food, great atmosphere, and consistently excellent service! Highly recommend.

Good food but the environment is loud and service wasn't great as they initially didn't want to accept my daughter's CA drivers license to order a cocktail because it was vertical and not horizontal, even though she is of legal drinking age, and had to get manager's approval to do so. The server also talked up the daily flatbread but then once we ordered it, he had to come back to advise they had run out of it. There was also a mixup between two servers where each thought the other was bringing a dish and neither did, so we had to inquire about that. The ahi poke is delicious no matter how they serve it (stack, bowl, salad, etc) and their brussel sprouts salad was a hit, but the fish and chips were a miss as the fish tasted like it had been previously frozen, and the pork carnitas tacos weren't as flavorful as expected.

This is a nice place to go in and have a couple of good appetizers and a good cocktail or a glass of wine! I got a spicy margarita and it was pretty good but I've had better. It could've been a little spicier I think. I also got some chicken fried sliders and those were really good. It comes with coleslaw on it, but I don't like coleslaw so I asked them to lead the coleslaw off. The spicy sauce. I asked for a little extra spicy sauce cause I like things a little spicy. I took the one slider home to my husband and he loved it. The chicken is nice and crispy and the bun was nice and soft and properly toasted. I'm sure I'll go back. I recommend this place! It's pretty cool!

On a Saturday afternoon , we decided to stop in for lunch at the Thirsty Lion in Chandler. Although there was a 15-minute wait, we opted to sit at the bar. To start, we ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer, which turned out to be deliciously airy and packed with flavor. My son chose the Gastropub burger, I went with the classic Caesar salad, and my husband ordered the Tuscan Chicken dinner. We were pleased with the taste and quality of the food and the service we great. . However, we did find the prices to be a bit on the higher side and the it was pretty loud inside the restaurant. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Service was outstanding. We walked in with TV channel requests and they accommodated. We asked for recommendations and they offered menu items that were just right. We went during happy hour so got 3 apps: spin/art dip, calamari and cauliflower. All were worth the tasting and sharing. I ordered the tuna bowl and oh my! It was huge, super fresh and best of all delish. Loved everything about this place.

Ok folks I'm going to be very transparent here so... buckle up. I told my spouse mid-meal that I probably wouldn't be able to "put out" when we got back to the hotel tonight because I had already climax'd hard during my meal! Not kidding. I said it and I meant it! Ok here's the deal, we landed here tonight after going to a different restaurant which is a chain we love and don't get to frequent but which also had an hour long wait at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Can't blame them! But we couldn't wait. So we chose the Thirsty Lion because it's close to our hotel. We walked immediately in and got into a table. Some might say that's an indication it's not doing good business and therefore not good. NOT TRUE!! First up: ambiance. Open layout place with big bar in the middle and TV's everywhere. The difference between this place and a standard sports bar is that while hubby faced the basketball TV, I got to watch amazing music videos while great tunes were playing. P!nk, Chilli Peppers, Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, etc. all my favs. And after we sat there for an hour, the lights dropped into night mood lighting which is lovely. Of course the table with kids next to us wasn't thrilled, but the date couple to my right got a little closer, so.... Next: Jay, our server. Good stuff. We were super thirsty after being in AZ heat all day and wanted drinks stat. Multiple waters plus a large carafe arrived with a diet coke and the Blood Orange Cosmo. Nice and clean and cool cocktail. Hit the spot even though the martini glass stem was ridiculously sticky. Didn't stop me from sucking it back while we ordered. Jay was awesome when we told him it was our first time here and he walked us through our choices. For the record, the hostess was also ready to help us understand the menu. Jay was also great at getting the extra mayo, more drinks, and our check quickly. I see him buzzing around serving others but there's nothing worse than being ready to leave and waiting for your check. He was also great at managing the complaint at the table next to us when they complained about the lights lowering. Way to go Jay! Food: sooooooooooooo good. Me: GastroPub Burger, fries and side salad. I think I got hubby's salad dressing and he didn't want to change so I ate it and it was magical. Beautiful light dressing and just the right amount of side salad. Folks, the fries were excellent--just the right amount of crispy fry! And the burger.... Gawd! The ciabatta bun was soft but firm and toasty. Jay had forewarned me about the horseradish sauce spread on bun, I was not afraid and totally wanted more of it! The burger was perfect cook of medium with yummy tiny pink and super juicy. And holy moly, the grilled onions were special--like grilled alongside the meat or something else magical. But wow! And finally, and here's where I literally almost came undone, my second cocktail--Titos Hibiscus Lemonade. Orgasmic! The warm flavor of the spice in the hibiscus tea mixed very subtly with the Malibu and all other ingredients... the ONLY problem with this drink was the too small size of the glass. Hubby: ribeye steak, grilled vegetables with side salad. Said the steak was a perfect medium rare cook and the flavor was amazing. I got a bite and agree!! The dressing on the salad wasn't enough for his liking. And the starter order of Calamari was good but not great. Was just ok. I personally like a little more crunch to fried calamari but I enjoyed the sriracha dipping sauce. So, the reasons for four instead of five stars: Meh calamari Too small but pricey cocktails Otherwise, I will absolutely go back next time I'm in Chandler!
